[Cancelled] Floods and Droughts: A STEM Seminar (Kalama, WA)
Thursday, March 12 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m
McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge, 215 N Hendrickson Dr, Kalama, WA 98625
Are floods, droughts, and extreme weather our new normal? How is climate change affecting our local communities? What are the local learning opportunities for students around how climate impacts them?
Join Washington Green Schools and ESD 112 to explore current research and make connections to local climate-related phenomena while engaging the Next Generation Science Standards and their Science and Engineering Practices. During the second half of the day, teachers will have time to plan activities that will bring climate science learning into their classrooms.
